This an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to join the UK team at IBS, one of the worlds’ market leaders in the provision of flood protection and water control equipment. This is a full-time permanent position based in Harworth, Doncaster.
We’re looking for someone who wants to feel like they’re part of a team and who can help deliver important infrastructure projects alongside our clients around the UK and Ireland. You’ll work in an important liaison position with multiple clients on live projects, making a difference to IBS Group business and our valued clients alike.
We’ll give you a great insight into the company, with regular contact and involvement in many elements including production of technical drawings, costings, manufacturing, shipping, arranging installation works and general project work; allowing you to develop your skills both personally and professionally.
You’ll have the ability to :
- manage multiple parallel projects with a range of values
- communicate effectively with colleagues (UK and parent company in Germany), sub-contractors and clients to ensure projects are completed as required
- handle technical and commercial queries
- update technical drawings
- issue jobs to the factory for manufacture/production
- procure parts and services from established suppliers and sub-contractors, as well as forge new relationships with new partners when the need arises
- manage installation related activities including issuing of RAMS, site meetings, checking completed installations and handover
- compile handover documentation packs
You should be :
- from an engineering background
- knowledgeable in and/or have a keen interest in steelwork, valves, fabrication or water control
- able to prioritise work based on changing workloads
- able to work alone and as part of a team
- commercially switched on
- excellent at clear communication
- able to learn and understand business and technical processes
- able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time
- a problem solver
- proficient in Autocad and MS Office
- trustworthy and reliable
- a hands on team player, willing and able to get your hands dirty if/when the need arises

- Working hours: Monday–Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30 – 14:30
